A studio,two hands,one kiln.
Atelier Cendre was founded in a converted rice barn in 2014. We do not scale. We do not wholesale. The studio fires twice a season, and what comes out of the kiln is what is for sale until the next firing.
What we keep

Local materials
Clay dug within forty kilometers. Ash from our own wood stove. Iron oxide from a quarry we visit ourselves.

Small editions
Most pieces exist in editions of twelve or fewer. Vases are usually one of one.

One kiln, two hands
Everything passes through the same wood-fired kiln, fired by the same two people, since the studio opened.
